He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Sardisean church age began in and ended in The messenger to the fifth church age was Martin Luther. His name is so familiar to the Bible scholar, or the teacher, or the laity of today. Martin Luther was a brilliant scholar of gentle disposition. He was ordained as an Augustinian priest at Erfurt.
Luther saw the futility of the Roman church's imposed works that were to bring salvation. The Word of God struck home to his heart, and was convinced that " The just shall live by faith.
Luther was a mighty preacher and teacher of the Word, and insisted especially in his first years of public eminence, that the Word was the sole criterion. Thus he was against works as a means of salvation and baptism as a means of regeneration. He taught the mediation of Christ apart from man as was the original and Pentecostal concept. He was a man given to much prayer and had learned that the more work he had to do, and the more sorely he was pressed for time, the more of his time he gave to God in prayer in order to ensure satisfactory results.
It is recorded of Dr. Martin Luther in Sauer's History Vol. First, he thundered from the pulpit against it and then wrote his famous 95 theses which on October 31, he nailed to the door of Castle Church at Wittenberg, Germany, exposing and protesting the abuses of the Roman Catholic Church.
From that date the Reformation set in; and the reformation fires begin to fly. Martin Luther spearheaded the Reformation Age by printing Bibles.
This was also the time when Guterberg invented the printing press. As Luther crystallized the doctrine of justification by faith in this age, the Catholic Church held on to works, penance, prayers and other unscriptural means. We see in this historical age that the pagan worship of Sardis was the worship of the woman.
It is Cybele alone, not Cybele and Deoius. The mother has literally taken the place of the Son, endowed with the merits of Godhead. And as the freed Christians glorified the Son in this era, the Roman Catholics increased their deification of Mary.
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.
The sixth church age is called the Philadelphian Church Age. The Philadelphian Church Age lasted from to about This age, due to the meaning of the name of the city, has been called The Age of Brotherly Love , as Philadelphia means, "love of brethren".
The star or the messenger to this church age, we believe, solemnly, with all of our heart, to be John Wesley. John Wesley, a little Anglican man from over in England, that belonged to the Anglican church, saw the light on the Gospel. It was the hour for that Philadelphian age to come forth. And when he did, he preached the second works of grace, a sanctification by the Blood of Jesus. His father was a chaplain in the Church of England; but it is more than likely that the religious turn of John's mind was based more upon his mother's exemplary life than upon his father's theology.
John was a brilliant scholar. He drew up a spiritual guide of works, such as giving to the poor, visiting the sick and the imprisoned. For this they were called Methodists, and other derisive titles. John Wesley traveled multiple thousands of miles as did his circuit riders who carried the Gospel near and far. In fact Wesley traveled miles per year by horse. He was a believer in the power of God and he prayed for the sick with great faith and wonderful results. Many of his meetings saw the manifestation of Spiritual gifts.
Wesley never did desire to build a work upon a denominational or sectarian basis. Though he was an Arminian in his beliefs, he did not want to separate himself from brethren on the grounds of doctrine.
He was a good candidate for James: He based his eternal life on faith and works, or the living of the life, rather than simply accepting a creed or a doctrinal statement. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing ; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked : I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment , that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the. The Laodicean Age began around the turn of the 20 th Century, perhaps Our age, the Laodicean church age, is an age of the communists where all men are supposedly equal, though it is only so in theory.
This is the age of political parties who call themselves Christian Democrats, and Christian Socialists, Christian Commonwealth Federation, etc. In every attribute, ancient Laodicea is found reborn in the 20th Laodicean Age.

The messengers are just stars to point us in the right direction, whereas the Holy Ghost is our true guide and teacher, and He primarily uses the Bible, which is the complete revelation of Jesus Christ.
So while I believe the Message as a whole is inspired, just as every true revival has been, that does not make a heretic out of anyone who has questions about various facts and doctrines. This book is by far the best understanding of true Christianity from the garden of Eden to the book of Revelations. Each chapter takes me deeper into the understanding of the Scriptures. It identifies the errors is man' supposition of God's word. It shows how man has added to the Bible or taken from. It identifies the Godhead in its fullness.

The author clearly states that you must recieve this book with a spiritual understanding, if this book is taken without an understand of the Scriptures it is The richness of Revelation in the wording is more profound than any work I have ever encountered.
We see why it had to be a Virgin Birth, what sin did it cover How awesome it is to see that God's plan started before Time was given to man. This encompasses all time and space.
We understand how Joshua stop the revolution of the planets for a day to win the battle. When he said "Sun stand still" he had the Revelation of this book as he knew God controlled time and space. We see how John was lifted into the "Lords Day" John saw what was, what is and what was to come.
It appears to me that John was one of the first human time travelers We see the error in man's science, the lack of an absolute even in math. We find that the Word is the only Absolute, final, nothing beyond the decimal point I don't see how anyone could pick up this book, read it through and not see the Plan of God from the foundation of the earth.
View all 3 comments. Jan 09, Andy Hickman added it. William Branham had a lot of unorthodox views. It is not that there are three Gods, but one God with three offices. This mighty revelation is what the early church had, and it must be restored in this last day along with the correct formula of water baptism. Not only is there no Bible for it, but i William Branham had a lot of unorthodox views.
Not only is there no Bible for it, but it shows even a lack of intelligent reasoning. Any portions omitted will be indicated by a series of "periods" Again, we encourage the reader to obtain a copy of the Book on this series to study it more closely.
Then only did I read the Scriptures on the Church Ages and delve into the many church histories written by the most unbiased historians that I could find. God did not fail to answer my prayer, for while I read the Word and the histories, I was enabled by the Holy Spirit to see unfolded a pattern that runs through the centuries and right into this present, last day.
N ow we know exactly from the Word which was recorded by the Holy Spirit how the first, or original church, was founded and how God manifested Himself in her. The Word can't change or be changed because the Word is God. T o change one word of it, as did Eve, brings sin and death, even as it says in Revelation If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
T hus, what the church was at Pentecost is the standard. That is the pattern. There is no other pattern. No matter what the scholars say, God has NOT changed that pattern. What God did at Pentecost He has to keep on doing until the church ages close. T hough scholars may tell you the apostolic age is over, don't you believe it.
Such a statement is wrong on two counts. First of all, it is wrong to suppose there aren't any more apostles, just because the original twelve are dead. An apostle means a 'sent one'; and there are many sent ones today, but they are called missionaries. As long as men are being called and sent forth with the Word of Life there is an apostolic age going on.
Secondly, they refer to an age of 'manifested Holy Ghost power' as being over since the Bible has been completed. That is untrue. There is not even one Scripture that suggests that, but many conclusively state otherwise.
