Rated 5 out of 5 by Suelovesgames from Big City Fun This Big City Adventure has 90 levels and 8 different mini games, which each appear throughout the game, in between every hidden object scene. With all those levels, this is one of the longest Big City Adventures and you do get your money's worth.
You only get up to 5 skip coins for each mini game but I found that I very rarely used them, as the puzzles were fun, interesting and easy!
They do get progressively more difficult as the game goes on, so if you do want to skip, best to save those coins for the last ten levels, or for a certain puzzle that you don't like so much. The facts that come up before a HOS, depicting an area of New York, were informative and interesting and the cute animals and funny little animations in them always make me smile. Date published: The adventure to New York was an excellent installment in the Big City series.
There are 90 levels with a mini game between each level. The HOS are well done and some of the objects are hard to find. The mini games were fun. The information about each location is always entertaining.
The only drawback to this game was the music. I muted it after a few minutes because it was so annoying. If you are looking for a classic HO game, I highly recommend this game. Great for beginners too with good detailed instructions. Relaxed or timed mode, real information on sights visited in each city and coins to be found in each scene that give you extra hints and time, as well as bonus points. I also enjoy the mini games in between each sight visited, which is good I don't need to skip them.
New York is my favourite though as it has Quick Continue so that I don't have to wait for coins to be counted each time and Zoom locations with extra clues written in blue. Van Couver is the only other that has every feature as well. Excellent games for anyone who likes plain HOGS without a mystery added. My husband had a stroke and these games are an excellent way for him to re-gain his memory. I have purchased all of them so far and check every week to see if a new one has been put online.
